FAQ

Do you take insurance?

No—I do not work with insurance. Movement Academy is designed to treat your whole body, not just the one part your insurance company is willing to cover. This allows us to focus your entire experience on what matters most to you, your long-term goals, and root causes—not just temporary symptom relief.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes—you can use HSA or FSA funds to pay for in-person treatment sessions. Be sure to check with your HSA/FSA provider for documentation requirements.

Do you provide a superbill for insurance reimbursement?

Yes. After each in-person session, you’ll receive an emailed receipt that includes the ICD-10 diagnosis code and CPT treatment codes. You can submit this to your insurance company to try for partial reimbursement.

Please note: Every insurance plan is different, and there’s no guarantee of reimbursement until you submit a claim. Regardless, my goal is to make sure the value of our work together far exceeds the financial investment.

How long are programs?

Programs are built in minimum 3-month increments, which allows time to make meaningful change and reassess progress. Some clients continue beyond that depending on goals and evolving needs.

How much does the program cost?

Program pricing is personalized based on your goals, starting point, and whether you’re primarily working in-person or remotely. Some clients benefit from more in-person care early on, while others thrive with a digitally supported plan and periodic check-ins. We’ll determine what makes the most sense for you during our initial consultation. I have created a pricing structure that is similar to paying your co-pay for for the typical 2x/week for 12 weeks in a traditional PT setting.

What makes Movement Academy different from traditional physical therapy?

Traditional physical therapy is often limited by insurance constraints—short sessions, rotating providers, long waitlists, and a narrow focus on one body part from a referral. Progress is measured in checkboxes and scores, not in your actual quality of life.

Movement Academy is built to change that.

You start with a free 40-minute video consult where I get to know you, your story, and your goals and determine how I can help you best. And if I’m not the right fit, I’ll help connect you to someone who is. From day one, we focus on your whole body, your nervous system, and what truly motivates you to move and feel better.

In our work together, you’ll get a science-backed, fully personalized plan combining education, manual therapy, strength training, and nervous system retraining— the fastest way to real, lasting results. You’ll learn how your body works and why pain happens—so you can stop guessing and start progressing.

Your ongoing program includes weekly check-ins, custom exercise plans, technique videos, habit tracking, and direct communication—all delivered through the fully encrypted Movement Academy app. We’ll also meet in person as needed for deeper assessment, treatment, and coaching.

This is not traditional PT. It’s a partnership designed around you—your goals, your timeline, your life.

Can I work with you if I’m not in pain but just want to improve my performance?

Absolutely. Movement Academy is designed for active individuals, athletes, and movement enthusiasts who want to optimize strength, movement efficiency, or prevent injury. Whether you’re returning from injury or just want to level up, we can build a plan tailored to you.

Do you work remotely with clients?

To provide the most effective care, all new clients begin with a detailed in-person evaluation. After that, we can continue in a remote or hybrid format, using the Movement Academy app, video feedback, and ongoing check-ins to guide your progress.

Do you work with post-surgical patients?

Yes-- however my program is not equipped to fully replace the acute post-op care. My clients who are in the initial months post op are continuing to attend post-op PT while we work toward their long term goals. My program is optimized to help you keep the rest of your body functioning well while your post-op PT works with you on the surgery rehab portion. I am passionate about helping people stay mentally and physically strong during their recovery as this was one of the main reasons I fell into chronic pain in the first place.

What ages do you work with?

I work with adults age 18 and older. Movement Academy is best suited for individuals who are ready to be active, build strength, and understand their bodies on a deeper level.

Do you offer single sessions?

Yes—I offer single sessions for evaluations or to address a new issue that comes up. These are great for gaining clarity and guidance. However, ongoing care and support are only available through enrollment in the full Movement Academy program, which is designed for consistent progress and lasting results.
